Joe's Pro Bikes has specialized in bike fit. With the exception of
Fuji all the bike lines at Joe's Pro Bikes offer custom design
frames. Joe uses software tools for
measurements, Waterford size cycle, Salsa fit stem, mirror, and
years of
experience to design your bike. Joe has been able to help cyclist
from 4' 10" to 7' 2".Actually, would you believe both on the same
day. If you would like a huge smile when your one of a kind bike fits
beyond belief then Joe's is the place. Further, every component can
be ordered specific to you. Wow! You don't
have to settle for a box bike off the floor when custom bikes are
available for less than one would imagine. Custom or box bike, Joe uses
the same systems to order and build your bike.
While custom designed frames are not for every bike rider,
the correct size and fit are necessary. A poorly fit bike can cause
many problems or just make riding not FUN. Hand numbness, sore glutes,
quads, knees; a stretched or cramped feeling, and poor bike
handling skills can all result from incorrect position. Bottom
line, the correct fit will allow riders to effectively apply
the different techniques of cycling. As a former tri-athlete and
long time roady I am totally fluent in both fit skills.

Lynskey. Recently the manufacture of carbon fiber bikes has
exploded. Can you say made in China! I would recommend that you
check out the "calfeedesign.com" site and especially the
owners forum. I believe you will find that Calfee has been the
standard for quality Carbon Fiber Bikes for many years. If you would
like a durable, lively, light carbon fiber bike Calfee is by far the
best choice.
Waterford Precision Cycles is owned by Richard Schwinn. Remember
the Paramount. I became a Waterford dealer shortly after opening
Joe's Pro Bikes. Waterford specializes in the production of steel
frames. They are known for pushing the technology envelope with out
compromising quality. Waterfords are Custom Only! I have not
produced two frames the same. Waterford also offers the GUNNAR
series of frames at lower price points. Ask any Gunnar owner in
SanAntonio about their bike and you'll hear the same answer. They
have more fun on their little Gunnar than any other high priced bike
they own, and that is no exaggeration.
Lynskey known for the highest quality custom titanium frames is
back after a hiatus from their LiteSpeed Days, after selling their
interest in LiteSpeed to American Bicycle Group. Lynskey does custom

bikes out there but there are very few that will make you say, Whoa!

unless you are ready to cry, cause your gonna want one bad!

Fitting a bicycle correctly is not rocket science although many
self proclaimed "Fit Experts" would have you think so. In
today's hyperactive world there is a lot of dog and pony technology
available, usually for a nice price. Don't be fooled, lazier
technology will never replace old fashioned experience. If you don't
believe me just ask my mirror. To date it has never lied to anybody. There are
only three points to a correct bike fit, where you pedal, sit and
place your hands. Done correctly you will love your bike. Done
poorly, you paid how much for that fit? Sorry, it's just my weird
sense of humor.
